Round up everyone in your house and gather a few white towels. Squeeze a fair amount of any brand conditioner into their hair and comb through with a regular comb to remove tangles. Then take a Terminator nit comb (the junk they sell at drugstores will not work. no plastic comb.. you need a metal one with VERY close tines) and comb through all of their hair starting from right up against the scalp. After each swipe, wipe the comb on the white towel. If you see tiny specs that look like pepper, those are nits/eggs. This means they need to be treated and have lice laying eggs. (The only exception would be if you have recently treated using a reliable method to treat lice. If you are certain you have killed the bugs, then the nits might be harmless) Hope this helps!
